Set in 1888 in a London doss house, Jack the Ripper: The Women of Whitechapel was a new opera by composer Iain Bell and librettist Emma Jenkins which tells the real stories of the women whose identity up to this point has been defined only by their tragic deaths.
This new opera was great to work on, with an amazing cast & crew. I was given a few scenes to set entirely, a combination of fight direction, and physical movement around an interesting space.
